Hello Rachel and Sanjeev,

I wanted to write to tell you my clients loved their day trip. Everything went perfectly, as you said. They said the guide was extremely knowledgeable, the sights were beautiful, lunch was delicious, and all went as planned. They had a very good time.

A tiny thing that was mentioned that seemed a little strange was that beverages, including water, were extra at lunch. It would seem that non alcoholic beverages and water would be considered part of a meal.

And a VERY BIG thank you to the tour company. An older couple from the group left their passports on the bus. They were at the train station about to head back to Delhi and someone from the tour company found them and ran them to the train station. What a disaster that would have been as they were taking a flight at 4am late that night back home. So thank you, thank you , thank you. They asked that if I could get in touch with the tour company to again express their gratitude for their efforts to please do so!

Thank you for making our clients day trip a wonderful experience.

Mythological significance
Before kicking off this tour to Haridwar, have a look at its mythology. Located in Uttaranchal, Haridwar is an abode of god where elixir (Amrit) fell from the pitcher that was in the hold of celestial Garuda during Vedic period. This place’ exhibition will show you way to pave other revered pilgrimages, i.e. Rishikesh, Badrinath & Kedarnath.

Here, glare & glittering hue of floating earthen lamps (diyas) on the Ganges’ surface will click its picture in mind & also, remind how to settle deceased ancestors at peace. Your soul will fly in heaven witnessing the spectacular view of Ganga Arti after sunset.

Divine’s presence
The long statue of deity ‘Har’ (lord Shiva) strikes eyes instantly at the fork of the river. After witnessing Shiva(in Idol), magnetic ‘Har Ki Paori’ will drag you to its closer. King Vikramaditya made it a spiritual landmark in the memory of his brother Bhartrihari. The sacred surrounding of Har-ki-Pauri will engulf you where his brother breathed his last while meditating at the bank of Ganges River. You, too, can purify your soul by taking bath in ‘Brahmakund’.

Mansa Devi Temple (3.5 km) - Uphill Bilwa Parwat, Goddess Mansa Devi is enshrined. Her two splendid idols look terrific as one is three mouthed & five armed & the other is carved eight armed. You can stretch your eyes to the entire beautiful city in one go from here. It is accessible by ropeway trolley or on foot.

Lady Prime Minister Indira Gandhi took over it on 15th May 1983.Carrying genius in its each storey,a specific theme waits for you to woo & enhance your knowledge of Indian legends & deities.

Bara Bazaar
Bara Bazaar in the north of the canal stands as midway between Har Ki Pauri & the Upper Road. This colourful bazaar has lined-up stalls on both sides. You can make very good deal of purchasing paraphernalia (religious items) or prasaad & other diverse goods, such as shawls, brassware, wooden whistles, bamboo canes & baskets.

Shantikunj waits for you as the nucleus of the spiritual & social organization All World Gayatri Pariwar. The global movement of Yug Nirman Yojana came into picture from here in 1971 where thirsty for spirituality as well as morality seekers find pure gestures in this site.
